Today me and my friend was looking around for a mustang for sale for him. We was going down the highway at about 65 mph and he was driving all of a sudden this silver car passes us i am pretty sure it was a late 80's 300zx i dont think it was the turbo one. I tell my friend to race him. We catch up to him we are doing about 80 then my friend floors it we start pulling ahead of him and i just wave bye to him i think it made him mad. We got up to 110 and we was at least 5 car lengths ahead of him and he just gave up. Then we got to the stop light's and you should have see the look on his face as he drove by me and my friend just started laughing.

Yah i love it when that happens. people feel down when a 4000 lbs car goes blowin past. a real turn off. and such a buzz kill.

I ran one at the track when I had my Mustang, I was finishing the race by the time he made it to half track. They are slow, the N/A ones are only 160 hp and even the turbo ones only had 200.

non turbos are quite slow, but the turbo one's, pretty rare you'll encounter a stock one - don't assume they only have 200 hp ;)

the only 300zx owner i know had 800 whp in his.

LoL they are slow as :q:q:q:q My friend has a '01 Toyota Tundra on 22's with a system in it and only Flowmasters on it and he mercked one the other day it was hilarious

the mid 80's 300zx sported 160 horses and somewhat less torque, the turbo version went to 205 horse and slightly more torque. The late 80's version got 222 n/a horses and twin turbo versions a more lofty 300 horsepower with equal torque (as I recall, a bit fuzzy on the torque number for the tt.)

Actually the 300 HP twin turbo and 222 hp N/A versions did not make an appearance until 1990.
