svt focus fuel pump

i wanted to know if anyone had the instructions on the installation.I read you have to splice some wires.My problem is sometimes when i floor it it feels like it wants to cut off the traction control is off when i do it.New fuel filter,plugs,cop boots and all and my gas mileage is down so im guessing a new fuel pump should do it i took the one i got out of a 100k mark.

I know you have to reverse the wires...

The focus pump goes in the stock basket in the tank. The wires that go directly to power the pump. Two wires. Its easy when you pull the pump out you will see.

i also wanted to know what advantages do you get versus the old pump do you feel any difference

I didnt feel any gains from the pump change. It is needed when doing performance mods to ensure the fuel system will not fall short. The stock pump is fine for a stock mark or mild bolt ons. From what I heard around 75k the stock pump is getting tiried, might as well replace with a better one.

Yea + & - wires are reversed.... dont just look at the wire colors, either! On my 98 i messed up cause i just assumed red-red, black-black. wasnt the case!
