SVT Cobra Supercharged 4.6 Factory parts on our engines, can it work?

I just looked at the Kenne Bell web page and saw nothing about a Mark kit

You have to have the "C" style heads and use the 99-01 Cobra kit (Tuner Kit) at minimum if you are going to step up to Twin Screw with max potential.

well the only thing i can say thats sucks for us..but just think there are other parts n things we can use..or share...

KB has a new 2.1 kit for the B heads non intercooled... not a bad idea if you're also going to run methanol injection.

Do c heads bolt right on? I;ve read around that with the c heads theres plenty of supercharger options on there for them, way more than the b heads. that being said i want to do this as cheap as possible, not looking for crazy hp numbers, would like to have what the 03 has stock.

so used c heads, used eaton charger. how can a new procharger kit be cheaper, i see those kits are like 3500 dollars?
To get complete 03-04 blower set up it'll run you around $2000 not including the heads. You can use 99-01 C heads but 03-up heads are better and they run anywhere from $500-1000.Cheapest way to convert Mark VIII engine to 03 Cobra one would be to buy a whole 03-04 cobra long block. The only down side of doing the full cobra set up is gained weight because of the iron block and all the blower crap. Cobra long block with all the the crap will add around 200 lbs to your car.

i got my answer, yes it can be done. 2500 is the number I got. now heres the real question - whats faster a pullied centrifugal vortech on b heads (procharger kit whatever) vs a hybrid terminator motor (C-heads on mark viii block pullied eaton) vs straight terminator longblock like mentioned before (pullied what have you)

I have seen guys on the forum with both setups, I would like to hear there input. Who has the dark grey with the deep dish rims, he has a 04 cobra long block in there.

You can find 03-04 cobra eaton blower pretty easy and cheap but it's so hard to find all the other accessories that will complete the set up like lower intake manifold ,intercooler, front timing cover with all the brackets, heat exchanger, overflow tank, pump, lines and all necessary hardware ,even if you find them people are asking crazy $$ for them.Like I said before you can piece a kit together for $2.5-3K but you will still have to dump another $3-5k on the other mods like trans ,rear end, exhaust, dyno tune ,driveshaft, tires and lot more. So, you're looking at $7-8 in parts without labor and you're still running stock non forged bottom end. I've seen few mark VIII with centi blowers at the track but I haven't seen any 1/4 mile passes of mark VIII with eaton blower. Here is my brothers Mark VIII with Vortech VIDEO

Either blower can make enough power to wreck the stock bottom end...

I know theres not specfic kits for the marks, but since 96-98 cobras have b heads also, im for sure a kit from the cobra to work, i mean you would have to do some minor fabing, changing things etc, but its pry possible.

Running a complete 03/04 cobr along block would be best if you have money. They come pretty much full built stock, kellog crank, h beam rods etc. You can run 6xx hp on a 93 street tune easy.

98LSC32V will the KB 2.1 fit under the stock hood though? How new is this kit?

from someone thats had a vortec, had N02, and swapped an 04 cobra motor, I would have spent the money on building my short block up, and going with the vortec again. ALOT of headache's from wiring, clearance issues with the alternator, fuel delivery, tuning, etc.

So you had this in your car

I always thought you had this

Just joking :D

LOL typo meant to type Vortech

I had an SQ running 8lbs on the stock block and separate install on 100 shot.
