Surging LS

Hi,
I have a 2000 LS V-8 and I have a fair amount of surging at 40mph. Seems like its between 2nd and 3rd Gear.
Coils are good, and No check engine light.
The last thing I want to do is take it the the Dealership and have them blow smoke up my *** so any thoughts before I have it tested would be great.

how do you know that your coils are good? how where they tested? everybody always says that their problem is not because of coils, but then replacing the coils usually fixes the problem.

+1, From the LS 101 handbook - always replace the coils and plugs first.

in fact the LS 101 handbook only has one page

step one - insert engine symptom here __________, course of action - replace all coils and plugs and start over

step two -if problem persist then replace DCCV
