So what i was wondering is if anyone knows where Quik had his intake manifold made or where he started. I read almost the whole thread he has and didn't see any information on it other than pics. I have access to the m90 charger inter cooler and piping as well as most other parts, but i will need the intake manifold.
 
Yeah im still waiting for the "Kit" thats supposed to be made up for us to purchase and bolt on.

I might just have to get a mustang GT when i pay off the ls to fuel my horsepower crave. Plenty of kits around like the whipple or a kenne bell.
 
yeah the "kits" will be around just about the time that our cars are so old that you can just buy a lincoln ls kit car with a VW motor in it hahaha

I contacted him asking the same thing.. Everything was a one off and would cost 3k for just the manifold, belt bracket, and cooling flange..

If you can wait a few months, I'll revile my design.. :D
 
Im willing to pay up to $5K for a kit.

But not so sure it would be wise with the ls anyways. Im sure the modular engines
can take a lot more abuse and are cheaper to rebuild/replace if needed.
 
I dont think any amount of mods will get it to cobra standards.

maybe you will change that with the turbo who knows.
 
I'm doing the SC.. ;)

I'm pretty sure 400hp could be made easily.. I'm going to keep the boost on a dl until I can 'afford' blowing up an engine..
 
Yeah i meant sc.

400+ hp lowered with limited slip is definitely cobra territory.

The trick is getting there and reliably.
 
Next winter, 4.10s and LSD will go in.. Accompanying a 3k stall.. Then, when I leave the stockers on, she will really be a sleeper.. lol
 
LOL keep stockers on and put in those exhaust traps so car drives like normal.

Then when some douche in civic pulls next to you, open the traps get into sst take off traction and smoke the :q:q:q:q outta his B16.
 
Aohhh.. Dem Civic guys just think they're hot sh!t because they can put a fart can on and be louder than my friend's truck with glasspacks.. lol
 
Yeah when it comes to imports i only like the rwd ones like the 350z.

Now those can run with an LS and them some.
 
What all do i need for a limited slip?

Can a transmission shop do it??
 
the 'kits' have been around and available for years now (posted here Nov 12, 2008)..... that's no secret.

this issue is a could never get five guys with money in hand to step up at the same time to make them. The manifold, cross-over coolant pipe, belt routing, ...etc are all one-off pieces - that they'll only do in batches of five.

You just need a LSD for a 28 spline 8.8 and friction modifier..

He said that he would do those pieces for 3k.. Your kit, which is clearly a better deal, had that plus 3-4x more 'goodies'..

Most trans shops should be able to do it since there is nothing 'custom' involved..
 
I dont see why they didnt include limited slip from the factory on a $40k vehicle.

well apparently not one of the engineers that designed this car had ever driven it in any snow. for a car that is not "supposed" to spin the tires, they sure do spend a lot of time spinning.

Exactly.. They usually add a LSD on vehicles that don't have TC.. Stupid logic but hey, they need to make money somehow..
