Alright i have the stock HID's and want to color match my fogs as close as possible.

Looked at the silverstar ultras but thats $40 and not a perfect match.

Should i just get one of those ebay hid kits??

Go with a hid kit if you want a perfect match.

HID stock is between 4300K and 4500K.
i bought the ebay kits of 6000K (low and fogs), they dont look stock but it looks way more luxurious

A friend of mine has a kit on his 06 and they match the headlights perfectly. I will try to find out color temperature, brand, vendor etc and will get back to you.

Cool.

So heres what the timeline looks lke for the next couple months with my baby:

Gonna drop my LS off at the body shop on monday to get the front and rear bumpers repainted. Had a small damage on the right corner when i bought it (which is cool since i got the car $3000 below book value) and some jerk scratched the rear left side backing out of the parking lot. But the rear bumper was gonna get done anyways eventually just not so soon.

Gonna ask if they can paint the calipers black and if they do powdercoating cause im considering painting the lip black on my chrome stockers. If so the next time when i drop it off ill have calipers, hood, grille, door handles and rims done.

Next week gonna replace the exhuast tips with magnaflow 3 inchers and get her waxed. Then gonna drop it off with my cousin (ASE Mechanic) and have him replace the plugs, thermostat and oil change.

My loaner vehicle will be a 300 for the next few days as its getting painted. Or i can drive an expediton if i want.

Nice plans. I would suggest going with 4'' tips so they fill in the bumper cut out better

Oh nothing major...they just have those annoying light scratches on the oval part under the handle.

It may just be clearcoat scratches...guess i should have the entire vehicle machine buffed to see what scratches are deep and need repainting. I know for sure the front and rear bumpers and the hood and grille must be painted.

And most likely the front fenders so the entire front end will match.

I would like to eventually have the whole vehicle repainted as i plan on keeping it for awhile.

So the vehicle is back and painted. It looks very good although its dirty.

And with all the pollen and dust and crap flying around its not even worth washing it.

If you are still looking... You could go with LED's

Though it depends on what color your HID's are. Mine are 6k so the LED's matched up.

I have 6k LEDs in my fogs. They are only good for show. Too blue for my taste as well.

For the price of the 2nd pair, go with V-LEDS.com. 28 LEDs ;)

Here is those LED fogs in 6K like m4rk has, and also the OEM HID's..

It is slightly misleading, the stock HID is a little closer to 4k than the 6k rings and fogs, I will eventually go with 6k HIDs to replace the OEM to have it all 6k.

Hmmm so you guys like them??

I guess i dont need very bright fogs since my lows are plenty enough light. I think i wanna replace the foglight housings as well to match the fresh painted bumper. And itll make them look a bit brighter.

Ive never sanded down a headlight lens so dont want to make it worse.

A HID kit in your fogs will result in some gains in foreground visibility, which isn't all that good as it will draw your eyes from looking out in the distance.

LEDs in your fogs will offer some minor lighting on the sides of the car and above it. They are just for show.

Definitely post up some pictures, when you get a chance.

By the way, I still haven't heard back from the guy with the HIDs in his fogs. Don't think I forgot about you.
