Okay,

So I have OEM audio threw out the car, other than a kenwood head unit and a legacy bass converter. I am getting a buzz through the subs only and it is random. Also it will change pitch depending on engine RPM

I know I saw a thread a while back about the DCCV causing this, but not sure mine is this issue as the climate control can be on or off or any setting really and this will happen. ( I am sure it's still a possibility)

Also noticed this thread in my search

Where the issue is most likely a ground issue, Have any of you had this and fixed it, how, if so.

I want to try to fix this, this weekend before my trip to Georgia, I am thinking a ground, but as much as I have dealt with electronics I know it could almost anything.

Thanks guys

not sure if you are joking or serious, but I am not showing and codes for them, I understand their could be marginal coils.

Where is your ground contact and is the metal bare? Also, do you have speaker wire and the power wire in too close of proximity to each other? Hopefully, not running down the same side of the car. Also, what is the quality of wire you have running throughout the car?

Serious. They will generate electrical noise long before they throw any code, if they ever do throw one.

Well, The ground is all in the harness and as far as power, i am not running anything back to the back of the car other than what is in there from the factory. I will have to double check how I have the converter grounded.

And Joe, I sure hope its not coils, although if working with the ground does nothing for me I will replace all the coils and plugs, I have been wanting to do that anyways so I know all them are new.

Could be coils...

I've experienced a "pop" coming from what seemed to me like the passenger's side rear door speaker pretty much every time my car misfired from bad coils.

Doubt that's the noise your experiencing but I just wanted to i guess confirm the possibility of coils being related

If the noise changes with engine speed, I think the two most likely sources of the noise are the coils and the alternator. Of course, a grounding or shielding issue could be why the noise is a problem. The first question is really one of is the noise being generated too much, or is the sub audio signal too sensitive for some reason.

Hmm...

I will take a look at all the wiring for the radio and converter, if nothing obvious like a bare wire somewhere, I will look at it being coil related.
