Stupid tires... help! lol

Any more info on why they said they weren't fitting?

Did they let the air out of the bags/forget to turn the suspension off or something to think the bags were crumpled?

The wheels on our cars are lug-centric. You can tell by the fact that when they are placed over the hub, there is play all around it. If it was hub-centric, it would have no play. I don't know why I keep reading posts on the forums saying the opposite?
Without seeing the rims and nuts, I don't know what they mean there, but it sounds possibly like the bulge on the oem nuts is to big to fit in the new rim holes?

I dont have the tires/rims til Friday. Assuming my car does not head off to the chop shop for work I am going to install new front hubs and then place the wheels on.

The best I can tell is this. The car looked low, and it may have been. Its not perfectly level, something I have been adjusting time and time again (time for new height sensors I think).

So the car was not perfectly level. Then they racked it and the guy, who does not know much, saw the front sensors compressed almost all the way. Of course, thats normal. But my tire rep thought he meant bags, not sensors.

In short they should go on just fine. The installer just noticed the car sat odd and then saw the height sensor compressed and thought something was wrong. In fact, other than the unevenness, its fine.

At least thats as much as I can figure out. We will see tomorrow how things go.

Let us know what happens.
I still think you should have went with the 245's ;)
Adjusting the sensors can be fun as they don't always react to the changes right away or to the same degree side-side. It took me two days of fiddling with them to get them level and where I wanted and I'm going to go even lower soon  lol...

Ya, 245s may have been better but before I ordered I had more people leaning towards the fast they may rub than not. I will see how they look. I dont think they will be too bad. If so, re-order.....

Anyway, on the sensors, I have a module to adjust height. The way the sensors work is that there is a "window" that each sensor height can sit in. So even if you adjust, the car may do nothing. What I do is adjust then drop the car or raise the car A LOT with the module. What that does is put all the sensors at the extreme end of the window. Seems to work well and speeds it up a bit. Part of my problem is the bent front end, the passenger side is lower and that screws it all up. The body shop guy I have is suppose to be taking it in for a straightening and some paint work.

Waiting on the kit to come before I install them. I have not seen them yet, but the guys are the tire place think they look great and the tire is not too thin by anyones judgment.

Also, the rep covered shipping also. $100 each for Yoko S.Drives! Now THATS a steal. I am more exited to try the tires out than the rims though! :) Read a lot of good reviews on the tires.
