Im thinking my coil packs or pack is going out on me.Ive always had a slight miss everynow and then but now its really noticable.At idle cant really tell much but soon as you toucht he throttle to acclerate normal it stumbles.No poping or nothing just feels like its the coil packs.Which the miss was more noticable when i did autolite plugs.But is there better coil packs to buy then just autozone ones?My friend was saying something about screamin demon ones.Seen some accel ones in summitracing.

Ford ones are the best and last longest on a stock or moderate build...
well i sprayed the wires down with water and ran my hands over them while running didnt get shocked lol or see and arcking.So im on to check the plugs maybe thatll tell me something.Is there a way to check the coil?

Gen 1 tried a coil swap thought it worked but didnt only tried driverside coil got late.But im thinking its mas air flow sensor.So is my buddy and hes pretty good with cars.But id like to be sure before i spend $100 on a part im not sure.No local yards have mark 8's so no cheap fix for now.

i have NEVER heard of a coil in a mark viii going bad. Check the plugs. I bet thats your problem.
Alrite will do its only been a few months since i replaced them maybe 2 months tops.ALso if its the maf and i unplug it will it run off of preset settings?Or just run even worse?Is there a way to check codes with out having to get a old scanner that i can even locate.

I am the technical manager at Autolite spark plugs. What plug number did you use? The reason i ask is this-We are the OE spark plug on that vehicle. The only difference between a Motorcraft spark plug and a Autolite is the paint on the insulator. I would hook up a scan tool and monitor for misfires. You may have some cracked spark plug boots or carbon tracking on the boots and spraying them will not reveal it due to the way they sit down in the head. When using water and a spray botlle looking for bad wires, you need a 5% salt solution in the bottle to reveal weak wires. A occiloscope will reveal weak coils as well, it is better to spend a little money getting a proper diagnosis than just throwing parts at it. What year is you lincoln? I can check for service bulletins and offer some diagnostic help if you let me know.
