After the supercharger, I say we look into the STS turbo kit. I know someone did something like this, but it was mounted in the back bumper of an LS.

thats where the sts turbo would be so whats the difference? thats what i have for my ls. rear turbocharging is 100% universal. it all comes down to who puts it together and how its tuned.

geez...

there have been 3 LS's turboed with an STS-like setup - all done by ILLS who is (was) a STS dealer

Steve - never really got it sorted and took it off and is trying to sell it
Cam - blew up 4 days after tuning and is trying to sell it after parting out his car
ILLS - who one day just up and sold his LS and took the turbo off and sold it seperately (to someone here who has not yet put it on).

Can't believe people are putting turbos and chargers on the Z06 vette. Chevy didn't use that lock in the new ZR1 because it is aluminum and they were blowing the engines up.

I bought the kit ILLS took off his LS last november.

Was going to put it in last spring.
Had Ray's LSD that he had built for me installed and love how that squirrels around corners.

Got a bit sidetracked on the Turbo for 100+ hours when I decided to put in a Rockford Fosgate 1700 watt rms 4 amp monster stereo with a Kenwood 9140 nav head, custom 3.7 cu/ft sub box with 2 12's, Infinity 6x8 Kappa door speakers and 2" tweeters with 1/2 din eq and 1/2 din 3 way crossover where the ashtray used to be.
Then a month ago I seriously cut my thumb bad enough to require emergency room stitches.
I'm still planning on putting the kit in as soon as 2 -3 weeks from now when my thumb is more healed up.(luckily just a big flesh wound)
Still got the extra engine in case I fubar the current one.
I paid ILLS his asking price but since then I have seen 2 of his kits for sale by said members for 2000.00 or less.
Those are very good prices but even still this kind of project requires a lift, a healthy bank account and some mechanical experience to be successful.

There's 2 complete set ups for sale by members here for A LOT cheaper than you'll find anywhere else if you decide you want to go that route.

Do you know who, so I can contact them?
