Struts

Have a 97 eldorado hearing like rattling noises from the front end think i need new struts are there any other symtoms for bad struts.

It could be sway bar bushings, maybe even a strut mount or the engine cradle. Don't be so quick to determine it's the struts themselves.

yup most likely the sway bar bushings!!! 15.99 on ebay. If your struts are not leaking then they are probally still good

while we are on the subject of struts ,mine are leaking and need to be replaced, what brand/who do guys you suggest I buy them from ? Arnott , strutmasters? or are there other choices for a for a 99 eldorado base model
