Strange Electrical Issue

Hey guys,
Every now and then when I am driving my car I get this strange issue. All the electric in my dashboard will suddenly cut-out.... gauges, head unit, hvac... etc... It will flicker on and off every couple of second, causing the head unit to reload (gps). After it does this several times the car stalls out. It is usually fine after I start the car back up again. Anybody have any idea what this could be?

loose cable on the battery could be a little issue, short little burst of missing electricity will cause :q:q:q:q to shut off, but your key still being in the on position never really keeps the motor from completely stalling out till it finally does,
