All my vehicles are registered in Montgomery county. Just south of Asheboro and east of Albemarle. Montgomery is non-OBD2 and probably won't be for quite some time.

Removed 3rd cat and replaced with H-Pipe. No more stink!! Yay!!
And get this, when I dropped it off at the shop, the computer said the average economy was 17.4mpg. After driving it home 40 miles with the A/C on and multiple WOT's just to hear the mufflers scream, it was at 17.9 when I pulled into my driveway.

You really need to find out why it's running rich and making the cats work so hard, if it's only once in a while (esp after wot only) it probably is fine...
It could be caused by O2 sensors, bad fuel pressure regulator, a bad MAF, a leaky injector, or elsewhere...
It doesn't do it anymore since removal of the 3rd cat. Before, it only smelled bad after a WOT run like passing somebody. The cats have 177K miles on them. I'm surprised they're not completely stopped up. But the biggest surprise was the gas mileage increase. It is truely amazing what a difference it made in the entire character of the car.
They were probably partially stopped up. This may be why you're getting better fuel economy. With the new exhaust setup, what effect does it have on interior noise?
Of course it won't smell without them, theres nothing there. It's still running rich most likely though...
