Earlier tonight I drove my Mark. And looks like I will soon be able to do so for the forseeable future.

T o make it short.Like the dummy I can be I was attempting to put the chair in front first when I needed to do it back first. :Bang

So that being said.

Step One is now taken care of and now Step Two is to get my license after 8 very long years. :D

Step Three? Get a Life.

Your thread is making no sense, was is this about a chair?

Did you accidently run yourself over while you were sitting in a chair in front of the Mark and you were hoping that you would be run over while the car was in reverse while sitting in a chair, huh, I am too confused

I think he means he put the cart in front of the horse. He bought his mark with no DL. Why he hasn't had one for 8 years, I don't know. I know a guy that killed someone while drunk driving and he lost his DL for only 2 years.

Check out the IQ on Philly. I think you may be right but I would never have figured that out without your help.

I thought drunks did a 12 step program, not 3.

Guys...

Take a minute to do some research before you start with the "stoner" and "drunk" stuff...

He's paralyzed from the waist down. I'm sure he meant he put his wheel chair in the wrong way.

Putting a wheel chair in a Mark has to be a chore.

KBR, I am guessing you've had the car adapted for your use. How does all of the rigging necessary to make it drivable fit in a cockpit type car?

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Sorry guys.Thought about that after I had logged off.

I have been paralyzed from the waist down for 8 years and have had my Mark VIII for about 6 years. The Mark VIII was given to me from a good friend, who was also paralyzed, after he had passed. Both he and his wife both decided to to give the the car since it already had the handcontrols.

I guess I could have not asked for a better gift after my own accident.

When I first got the car I had tried putting the wheelchair inside but it would not fit. That was do to me not thinking and putting front end first when I needed to put in back end first. :Bang

Makes much more sense when you have context.

I'm glad you came back and clarified that. You being paralyzed isn't funny but this thread made my day just now. All the confusion and assumptions when really, you posted and assumed that all of us knew. Now I understand but that was some funny sh!t.

It still has me laughing.

No,being paralyzed is not funny but that does not mean I can't have fun with it. :D

It's good that you can at least still have good spirits and not be all down and out and bringing others down too. You're able to talk about it and still bring a laugh along with it.

Kinda wierd my MK8 was set up with hand controls. I found the receit in the glove box. Car was missing some of the under drivers dash stuff to fit that in and had a hole drilled into the lower dash piece. The back seat also has wheelchair marks on it. Goodluck and happy MK8ing!!
