Steering wheel adapter for a Pioneer deck

i have the adapter, and it was not working when i tried to install it yesterday, i dont know what the problem could be but im going to be tryin it again

I had a bit of trouble when I did mine also. I would recommend that you start your car and turn all the electronics on when you go through the set up steps. The unit senses voltage changes and with all of the electronics in the Lincoln I would think it to be best to have them all on when setting up. This helped me on mine...

Good luck...

i have the SWI-PS, had no problems programming it, the only problem is that there is a small delay when you press the button (not so much a delay after the button is pressed as much as you need to hold the button for 1/2 sec before it starts to work)

You should be able to get a unit made by PAC called SWIPS. I believe that is correct....

It will wire into the stereo wires and will allow use of the stock steering wheel controls. I got mine from Crutchfield for my 2006 F250 and it works great on my pioneer nav system...

This link should take you there...

Did anyone else notice the $30 price increase that Crapfield has, when looking at both links?!?!?!!!

 BAM!!!!
From $49.99 to $79.99!
:shifty:

Just installed mine,,, works great, does have some glitches, sometimes the volume runs off if you hold it down. thats all ive noticed so far..

that's exactly what I was gonna say about the SWI-PS. can be frustrating sometimes....

if you do the "beep mute mod" for the F series, the response time is cut down and the volume doesnt run as much

anyone else with an F series have the channel volume on one side cut almost completely out randomly but only when using the ipod?

a lot of people on AVIC411 have been having the same problem, there was talk about there being a problem with the cables from pioneer, they were very hard to get in stock for a while when i bough my 900BT so i bough the apple version, and it works perfectly
