I replaced my inner tie rods and noticed that the driverside steering rack when i pulled the boot off was leaking fluid out.Today i was driving and my pump started whining looked under the car and fluid was leaking from the rack.Do i need to replace the whole rack or just a seal or something?

Easy actually Notes

1. Raise vehicle on a hoist.
2. Disconnect both tie rod ends from the front wheel knuckles.
3. Remove engine oil filter.

4. Disconnect and plug power steering return hose at intermediate fitting.

5. Disconnect power steering pressure hose at intermediate fitting and position out of the way.

6. Remove steering shaft retaining bolt.

7. Working through access holes in subframe, remove nuts from rack-to-subframe bolts. NOTE: Retaining bolts stay with rack.

8. Rotating top of rack forward, remove rack from subframe.

9. If power steering short rack is being replaced, remove LH and RH front wheel spindle tie rods.

1. Remove small and large bellows clamps (1).
2. Remove front wheel spindle tie rod (2).
