Forgive me if this is not the thread to place this in. I have also posted in parts forum and five star ford as well for pricing.

I am in need of a few suspension parts for my 93 Mark VIII and figuered I would look here first.
My uncle says I need a Steering rack and pinion (I believe this is what he said)
(He can move my passenger front wheel but my driver front wheel doesnt move at all)
If anyone has a mark they are parting out or knows where I may be able to get one of these assemblies please respond.
Money is a little tight right now but my father told me to try to find one so we can get it in about a month or so.

Another option is to get another mark that runs for cheap. The car would have to run at least. Depending on the condition of the car it may end up being a parts car. But if it is in better condition then mine my car is the parts car. Also the suspension would have to be in good condition.I dont want to go through the air bag dropping situation again.

Also I need prices for Upper and lower control arms and tie rods too but will get these new.

Any advice or offers are welcome. Thank you in advace for your replies.

Advance Auto (ask for TRW items)has both the uppers and lowers, should run about $125 a side. They also have remanned rack and pinions for about $150 each plus core charge. Toss in new Strut Rod bushings at $60 and two Stabilizer links at $100 and you will end up with a freshly rebuilt front suspension (you will need to get a front end alignment afterward).

SWEET

I need to do that same thing

Good stuff man... thanks for listing everything out for me

Also remember, use '96 Thunderbird V8 suspension components when possible. You'll save money. That means get the strut rod bushing, links, tie rods, LOWER control arms for the T-bird. The Uppers need to be Mark VIII specific so that the ride height sensor has something to snap onto.

You've already contacted Max, so also check RockAuto.com for these parts as well and find a discount code online.

And look on Ebay for the rack. The guys in Florida most likely have one or two racks ready for sale, just send them an e-mail message. If you're in Orlando, you might even be able to pick it up in person from them.

Or check the KLQ U-pull it yards. There were a bunch of Mark VIIIs hitting their lots a couple months ago.

Thanks for all your advice guys.
The parts seem alot cheaper then what my dad and I were expecting.
And I May be able to replace them sooner now.
