It's still in project mode (still getting some equipment together), but started hanging and wiring stuff in the LS today.

Question - would it not be better to install those amps somewhere that does not move than on the back of the seats? Were it me I think I'd look at installing them on the side of the trunk wall between the wall and the trunk lid. It would mean building a sturdy mount that bolts to the floor but is strong enough to not flex, along with a water channel to keep water out of them in case of a trunk seal leak, but it would put that useless bit of trunk that the hinges block off to use and still allow you to use the fold down seats for oversized cargo as it was meant. Those units look small enough to fit in that area.

My obsessive compulsiveness would never allow me to mount amps on the back of the seats lol..

Thought about that but once I add a mounting surface there's really not any depth left behind the hinges for anything. And after all is finished, there will be no hauling oversized cargo with the ported box in there. I've no problems mounting amps on the back of the rear seats before. Its stays dry and is strong enough. Amps can handle a little flex.

Why? Exposed wiring phobia? lol.

The way I look at it, they are accessible enough for making adjustments to controls, and will be hidden from view once the box is put in.

You have any pics of your setup, blwnby?
