Hello everyone.

New here. I have a question for you all.
I have an 04 Lincoln LS V8 with 88,000.
Whenever I start it up after it has sit for 8+ hours the engine idles rough and low for about 2-3 min. Then it runs like a champ.

I was thinking it was the EGR or IAC. . .
But I do not know this car to well. . . . .

Any help is GREAT!!!
Thanks all!!

It's not the IAC, your car doesn't have one.
It sounds like you have one or more leaky fuel injectors. Next time you go to start it, hold the gas pedal down as far as it will go and turn the key to start. Hold it there for four or five seconds (the engine shouldn't start). Release both the pedal and the key. Now see if it will start and idle normally.

I have this issue as well. The car is still under warranty and is getting dropped of at the dealer on Wed. I'll post up what the dealer says.

I've had a rough idle for the past two weeks. Finally threw a code Saturday, taking it in tomorrow will let you know what they say. '05 with 35k miles.

Well I found out about mine, maybe it's something to check out. My check engine light was caused by the airbox coming loose. Tightened it back up and apparently the problems are gone.
