on the way home from the girl friends house the other day and the damn car dies on me at a red light. This has happened to me a couple of times. No spitting or sputtering, just dies. It fires right back up and drives fine the rest of trip
 
When the other times it died was it when you were stopped. Look at what ur idle does next time when slowing down to a stop see if it just drops. Might be the idle air control unit sticking. Its a cheap part to buy.
 
Mine was doing that as soon as I stopped and it ending up being the idle air control valve. You can usually clean it and itll help, but itll go back to doing the same thing eventually pretty soon.
