anyone have the dimensions for the stainless steel custom lines needed to hubswap the mark viii using front cobra brakes?

Im running the 2003 10th anniversary front calipers, hub swapping, relocating brackets in the rear, cobra rotors all the way around, stock lincoln rear calipers.

Tried getting ahold of don way as per dlf and hes no longer with paragon, they need all the dimensions, fitting sizes, and lenghts, and i dont have any of my parts books anymore.

If anyone could put me in the right direction id appreciate it . thanks

Nevermind, I misunderstood what you were asking for.

Grrr edit again...

Are you looking for stainless brake lines or just need the dimensions? If you need them, here they are.

Im looking to have stainless steel lines, dot legal, red coated (if possible) made or bought for my 97 mark viii. Im hubswapping it to bigger cobra brakes, front and rear.

So the stock mark viii line in the front will have to be changed for the cobra dual piston caliper and/or the length changed.

Rear should be stock since re using lincoln caliper but they dont have the fitting dimensions on any of it and would it make sense to extend the brake line .5" or an 1" because of the bigger rear larger rotors and relocating brackets.

Well, all I can say is that the stainless lines that I linked to are on my car now and they work with the Cobra front calipers along with the Cobra rear rotors and are supposed to be DOT legal. Jeremi installed them so I don't have all the details on any modifications, but I believe they're pretty minor.

And yes, that ABS sensor bracket is getting replaced. ;)

You can also just grind the corners on your factory lines to fit the cobra caliper. It won't give you the positive pedal feel of the stainless lines but it will get you on the road till you find what you want.

I bought the same ones Marcus has. Got them on ebay for $150 or $170. Forget how much but it was brackets and front and rear lines.

cool and they work with cobra front calipers?

I thought there was a different fitting then the lincoln calipers?

So do i just need to look for stock stainless steel braided lines for front and rear on a mark viii?

Yes all you need are braided lines for a Mark VIII. There is no special line for cobra calipers. All stainless lines that I have ever seen use a universal round fitting on the caliper end. You will need to make sure you get the correct banjo bolt for your particular calipers though because they are usually not included and the stocker won't work.

Thats not exactly true. Depending what year Cobra the calipers are from the bolt may or may not work. Man I went through hell finding that out.

Anywho, these are the lines. Make sure to go to a Ford dealer and get OEM washers. Parts store ones are too thin and the banjo bolt will hit the back of the caliper. Again, more hell I went through.
