I tried some searching but I did not find a real definite answer.

Whenever I am driving and I hit the smallest bump, there is a very annoying squeaking noise coming from the rear end. If I push down on the trunk, the sound seems to be coming from both sides.

I have just recently purchased my LS and don't know too much about the various suspension parts that is has. From my searching, I have learned that we do not have struts at all, just shocks or shock absorbers? Are these on the front and rear? Is this squeaking noise that I am getting due to failed shocks in the rear? or could it be another part?

Thanks!!

Front and rear are the same setup, coils over shocks. (Looks a lot like struts, but it isn't really.)

Also in the back, check the sway bar bushings and the sway bar end-links. Also the rear toe links. I can almost promise you that you'll find that the end links and the toe links need to be replaced (but this may not be where the squeak is coming from).

I've done the research. You can replace just the bushings. Sold only in the UK though.
