So, this is when I first got my fondmetals:

And this is how the car looks after the drop:

More pictures to follow. I have my kid with me, so I can't take a bunch. Plus, 11:30 am is terrible lighting.

If you get any rubbing just roll that horizontal part of the inside rear fender. I used a round pry bar braced against the tire. Go slowly and take care as you don't want to bend the fender, just that horizontal section that extends into the wheel well. Also, take speed bumps slow and easy! Especially on the departure (downhill) side!

BEEEEEEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Nice. I see you are all prepared now for the meet. Look forward to see the drop in person now.

I get my car back tomorrow with the painted bumper.

See ya on Saturday.

Looking great man! Take some action shots, have Alex drive and you take some pics.

looks good, gonna get some power to that thing now? HEE HEE I think those canuck springs look good!

haha, yeah that's a great idea! He actually loves to sit in the drivers seat and pretend to drive.

For those not in the know, Alex is my 19 month-old son.

Thanks! for the compliment, and the springs! I have a 42 offset on these wheels, so hopefully I won't need to modify the fenders. Thanks for the tip, that's what I'll do if I run into issues!

Yeah, I had to take care of the cheap cosmetic stuff first. now that that's completed, I can concentrate on givin her some giddy up. :D

Thanks everyone for the response. Before the springs, I could get 3 fingers easy between the fender and tire. Now I can't get one unless I angle my finger up.

here's a couple more pictures :D

As long as you have a 7 1/2" wide wheel you should be fine. I had 18X8 1/5" Voxx with a 40mm offset when I had those on. They rubbed under extreme compression situations with a 245/45 tire. With a 245/40 tire I didn't notice any rubbing.

Enjoy your new handling!!

Looks great Pete! Have you thought about painting all the black trim along the bottom? I think that would make it look even lower, and look awesome. I had mine done and love how it looks.

I got second thoughts about coming to the meet now/ jk. I'm way out of my leauge your car looks great.

Yessir, I'm for sure going to be doing it. I'd really like the gen2 LSE kit, but not for 2 grand. So I have liked the way you did it since you did it. LSE (gen2) front bumper, and paint the rest to match.

Looks awesome Pete!! But how much does the ride suffer from that drop though? Honestly? I want to lower mine someday. But only an inch max. I like the comfy ride at the stock height.

And yeah, your car is out of my league as well. I really wanted to do the brake upgrade too. Damn it!! And damn you!! :D

I've had this problem before but not on my LS.

hehe... I thought the same thing when I typed it.

I've only driven maybe 50 miles so far. Hard to say about a difference in ride quality, as I haven't taken it out on the highway yet. I'll let you know once I do though.

What I can tell you is I notice more of a ride difference when switching to these wheels/tires. It's not uncomfortable by any means, but the big bumps in the road hit a little harder now.
