My 06 LS V6 has the Eibach lowering springs installed, but if there's one thing about the car I don't like it's the softness of them. The originals too were soft, I have read on here about the problems with speed bumps and I hate it, but I hated the higher stance of the originals too.
I talked with a tech guy at Eibach and he gave me the specs for their springs, but I wondered if anybody has gone the route of putting stiffer springs on their cars. I'm talking of maybe a 25 lb increase over the Eibachs front and rear.

First off..... There is no 2006 V6; ALL 2006's were V8's.

For the springs, you'll either have to cut the ones you have or have custom springs fabricated.
 
Typo, sorry, 2005 model.... I was looking around the site and I find references to Euro shocks and Springs.... another post says just the shocks are stiffer, that might help me. Any more info out there?
do the Jag shocks fit our cars?

The Euro shocks are difficult to find, if at all. The springs are the same for all the LSes. IIRC, the Jag shocks won't fit as the mounting points are a little different.
 
LS4me, thanks for your input. I wonder if QA1 make a suitable shock, I must take a look.
 
How much stiffer are they than stock springs? Noticeably stiffer or not so much? Im looking to buy some eibachs and im curious how it will affect the ride quality. Stock springs are just a bit too soft for me. Do you plan to go lower?
 
Rockauto.com had some euro shocks for sale about 3 weeks ago, when I was looking for sport shocks.
 
Thank you sir! If I can't find a used set of eibachs within a month or two, I'll probably try cutting half a coil off my stock springs. I only want about a one inch drop. People cut their eibachs so I shouldn't have a problem considering those are linear as well.

Eibachs are progressive. Which is why it is a bad idea to cut them
 
Oh ok. I know some people cut their eibachs. I just checked and the site does say progressive. Thanks.
 
I have a set of double-adjustable Konis on the shelf. In order to use them I need to do a little fabricating regarding the upper mounts since the Konis are designed to use a Heim insert or, in the alternative, a Delrin bushing. The springs are then available in a wide variety of weights and the way the springs are installed will make it easy to alter ride height.

I'll get around to it some time later this summer.
