I have the sprint springs and want my car to be a little lower in the front. So how bad is it really to cut springs a little? Also the shocks dont have anything to do with the hight of the car right?

very bad... they are progressive springs, you should NOT cut them.

shocks don't change ride height

i cut 1 link of my stock springs when i took replaced my struts. it lowered a lil higher then my previous eibachs springs . i had to take the eibachs off due to the rubbing/scrapping issues i was havin. 1.75 is very low u dont have scrapping issues??? im gettin 20's this week so i might put my eibachs back on since the rims willl raie the car a bit.

No I dont have to many problems with scrapping. Is it posible that they would of put my springs in the wrong place like my front ones in the back?

um... I doubt it; as I recall, the fronts were quite a bit taller.

You do realize that by trying to lower it even further, you'll have HORRIBLE alignment problems that would take some work to correct, and you car will bottom out from the slightest dip in the road. You'd really be killing a TON of your suspension travel; and not changing the spring progression to account for it. Cutting springs on newer cars is always a bad idea; it's really a bad idea when you're talking about cutting lowering springs.

I would agree with the "dont cut the springs" I'm not an "expert" but i know a great deal about suspension. Cuting the spring will create heat that will alter the spring rate. you see springs are just coiled "rod" (crude way of putting it) and they heat up this "rod" and twist it into the spring. then they take this spring and "treat" it in a "chamber" at an exact temp and humidity to make the spring rate. so heating the spring will alter the rate. Progressive spring are wraped tighter at the top and progressivly get more openly wraped as they go down. what this does is make the spring compress easier in the first couple of inches of travel since there is less "spring" to hold the wieght of the carand as it compresses deaper the tighter wraped coils hold more weight back so it slows the rate of compresstion.
Not to sound like a dick, but if you want a "lower" stance you need to go with air bags or some other kind of system.

Yea thanks guys I was pretty sure about all the stuff you guys just said but I know someone that cut his lowering springs and said it worked fine... Im not going to do it it was just a quick thought.I wish i could bag it dont have the money. Thanks for the info. One more question if I had the sport shocks how much stiffer of a ride will I get right now I have the non sport shocks?

I've not rode in an LS with standard shocks, so I can't tell you the difference. You've got a couple things to consider though. First, because of the springs you're using, they are a tighter, heavier spring... They have to be in order to allow for such a drop; if they weren't, you would be bottoming out near constantly. That's just how lowering springs work; they become tighter to better control/limit the suspension movement. SOOOOO... I can tell you that with my eibach's and my sport suspension, the ride is fine; it's a touch more firm than stock, but not bad. Now, with your Sprint's, which are bound to be a more firm spring; adding the sport shocks will obviously increase the firmness and give a harder ride than mine. To what extent... I don't know.

The sport shocks should however help out with excessive suspension articulation a bit if you're having a problem with that. They will dampen the movement of the car at a bit higher rate than standard shocks. But I would not expect anything significant in this department.

If you want handling, throw on the sport shocks and sway bars; I imagine with your car as low as it is, adding these things would really make it corner with the best of them.

yea when I go over big bumps my front tires hit my wheel wells it not a big deal but if I can fix that I might. On the other hand if i do get different shocks it will be a worse ride. Thanks for your help man I appreciate it
