Hi new guy to this forum,

I have a 01 LS V8 sport and need to replace a broken spring on the car.

My question my car currently has a part number on the spring of SZF XW43-5310-FB 55.5/6311 what do these numbers mean.

I found a set of springs for a good deal and they have part number SZD XW43-5310-DB 55.5/5922

Will these work? Will they change the ride of the car?

Thanks for any information:)

Eric

you're talking suspension springs right?...only springs i can think of...but the eibach springs might be cheaper than the OE springs...plus they look better and offer a small margin or handling performance, you have to get the caster/camber kit to align the rear of the car right,i have the kit, but yet to get it installed and aligned, i'm sitting at -2.5 in the left rear and -1.8 on the right, why its off like that i have no idea, but thats as far as they can get with the factory stuff...the caster/camber kit you can order from O'Reiley's as with the springs...

+1 on eibachs, cheap, almost the same ride quality and 10x better looks.

I must agree with the eibach's, but...I have a set of stock springs that I will sell...they are from an '04, but I believe they will fit...please someone chime in, if this is inaccurate.

I pretty much want to keep the ride stock and don't want to change the rear springs too. I don't want to lower the car as I drive it in a snowy area and need the ground clearance.

Any idea on the part numbers? I surfed the web to try and find a description of what the part numbers mean but couldn't find any.

Thanks for replies,
Eric
