I'm sure, like a lot of the LS owners, my doorpanels and some other areas make a lot of creaking/cracking noise. I've recently heard of sound deadening like Dynamat, but in an aerosol can. Does anyone know of some good brands?

I just did my install Kicker 750 amp Kicker L7 12 2 Farad Cap.

I used Spray On Truck Bed Liner, did whole trunk.

So far working pretty well but at some point I will still need to mat the inside of the trunk.

I'm looking for more of an inside the door panel-safe spray.

I've heard of people using some sort of an expanding foam type spray that they put inside the trunk lid, but I don't remember the name of it. I'll see if I can dig that link up somewhere.

Was the product that you're thinking of automotive specific or was it meant for household use like this stuff?

It was something like that. Not sure if that was the exact one cause I can't find the link I had on it. Also, I never did a follow up review on the person that used it to see how it worked in the long run.

In my old explorer I had 4 12s and it rattled the .... outta everything so I went to home depot and bought ExpandaFoam (i think) and sprayed it where I could. It worked pretty well, one thing though you have to watch for the expanding. I ended up shaving down a lot of area do to too much spray. I'm sure you can figure it out. I will prolly be doing my trunk this weekend with it as well.

Yep, same type of stuff as the above link. I'm sure the "preferred brand" varies by store. If you want to get rid of rattles in the door, I think this stuff would work pretty well. It's lightweight, water proof, fills in small gaps and is cheap. I'd suggest doing a couple practice runs in a soup can or something so you can see how much the expansion rate is. It's sort of a pain the a$$ to remove if you get too much.

Would it also be a good idea to not fill it all the way to allow for heat expansion? Or does that stuff not expand enough in the heat to make a difference?

It doesn't seem to expand that much when it gets hot, but as always, caution is the rule. I would leave a little extra room.
