I think I've read almost every no heat posts on LVC...twice. I finally have heat, but only while I'm bleeding the coolant system. I've bled the system three times over the last few days and every time I have good hot heat on MAX blower at full speed. The next morning, I get in the car and head to work; there's no heat. None at all. 15 minute drive to kid's daycare. I turn off the car, 7-10 minutes later, turn it back on and there's heat. Every time I stop the car, I open the heater bleed screw and release air.

Is air somehow getting back into the system after I bleed it or is there still air trapped in the system?

Parts replaced in regards to cooling system:
Aux Coolant Pump - Motorcraft/Bosch
Degas Bottle - Motorcraft

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at a loss at this point.

You still have a leak. Depending on engine and year, your replacement list is missing either a few or several of the plastic parts that commonly crack and allow air to be pulled back into the system. If you would give the engine (V8 or V6) and year of your LS, we could be more specific about it.

That's what I was afraid of. Sorry, I put all that information on my introduction thread and forgot to post it here. 2001 LS V8. My gut tells me there's probably air getting back into the system through the thermostat housing or the dainty "insert", but wanted to get more input before venturing down that road.

I'm more familiar with gen II, but these should be the suspect gen I parts that you haven't yet replaced.

Thermostat housing, engine fill cap, outlet. (Might as well replace with the aluminum parts.)

Cross over pipe/hose assembly
Upper radiator hose
Lower radiator hose
DCCV (They have been known to leak too.)
Radiator (Rare.)

Thanks for the info. The aluminum housing was on my wishlist, but I guess I'll have to make it a priority with winter coming up. I didn't know there had been reports of the DCCV leaking. I really don't want to dig in there to replace that thing. I'll try the other stuff first. I appreciate the direction.
