That one word was supposed to be "allow" not "allot". No wonder you had a hard time understanding what I posted. I even had a hard time until I seen what I did. Hehe.

Yes. Just make sure that the inner diameter of the new CAI tube where the MAF electronics will mount is the EXACT same diameter as the stocker MAFS housing. That will ensure that your AFR's aren't thrown off. If you decide to go with a bigger tube then a retune will be in order.

Ok, I figured thats what you meant I just read somewhere that the electronics itself is calibrated once on the housing so removing it and placing it back on could take out the calibration some. I heard thats why some have the silicone sealant on the screws but what you said is good to know. I was hoping I could get the tube in one whole length from where the filter would mount back to the TB but from what I am understanding I will have to make the tube the length of the stock tube and then weld on a shorter tube the diameter of the MAFS since it is slightly bigger.

im using the spectre 14" filter and the spectre maf adapter. no probs yet but as with most oiled filters, u should inspect your maf every time you clean and re-oil the filter. if it looks dirty or oily, i spray mine lightly with non-static electro contact cleaner and let it air dry. not had any probs yet
