so few months ago, i installed new speakers in my car, i put all of them in, but when i got to the passenger side rear door the speaker wouldnt work, i checked the wires to see if they were getting power and they were, i also checked the speaker to see if it worked

after switching them around both speakers worked, so is it possible something is wrong witht he head unit?

Wired backwards? Is there a balance on the amp? Is the head unit centered (has all the speakers working.. Middle on fader and balance)?

well its an aftermarket headunit, so i was thinking maybe something went out on that?

speakers will always work if wire in reverse (it wont sound right but it will work)

Kinda figured because they would be firing the opposite way.. I'm not a big audio person.. lol :shifty:

Could be. I would check the connections again.. If they are tight, then I'm lost..

I would check the connection between the wiring harnesses behind the head unit to see if a connection is loose there. Were the wiring kit wires soldered to the HU harness?

no, when i bought it from best buy it came with a free install so i had them do it and they used the cheap plastic connectors, but i'm going to be installing different speakers again when they get here next week and i'll check behind the unit for the connections then
