ive been reading around and alot of people suggest rewiring the whole thing...Is it a good idea to just change the speakers if they r bad?

you can but ive heard they never sound the same. the factory system is lacking and all the "woofers" are wired in series (dumb) just gut it and replace it all you wont be disappointed.

Just chimin' in here........is it worth is to amp the jbl speakers? I have the stock non-jbl and thought about putting in the jbl speakers and amp'in them. If they're that bad I'll forget it.

I'd scrape the JBL and get some aftermarket unit. Heck you need another project anyway LOL

i'm happy with my stock unit....as long as i can hear it clearly while driving with all the windowns down and moonroof open i'm happy.....did the whole sound system thing with subs and all.....i'm keepin the mark stock sound system wise

You don't need those adaptors... You can fab something SUPER easy... Dig in and you will see!

dont need them, but made all of my installs super easy. put adapter in door, put speaker in hole

I have an Alpine head unit, had to hunt ebay forever trying to find an older unit that had the options I needed with the green lights to match the rest of the interior. I was debating leaving the stock speakers but I thought since a lot of guys like the JBL stockers maybe switch to those? Other wise I'm going full after market. LOL Mespock.........yeah nothing like no work and lots of projects .

Re-wiring your car for new speakers isn't tough. I went with a Sony headunit and a RF 400.4 amp and I love the sound!

I ran all new wire to the amp too. It took me about 3 hours total.

AFTERMARKET FTW!!! i wouldnt swap to the jbl's. speakers have advanced sooooooo much since those came out, i got my old jbl's somewhere, the magnets are so small its a joke
