Speakers help

Ok my 97 lsc. I put in some new mid bass in the rear and now I only have highs but no mid bass. Is their a fuse or something? and when I turn my radio on it make a pop noise. Any help please

did you cross your polarities by mistake? a pop noise, usually the amps make pops when they are bad, did you change the speakers because it popped and didnt sound right before you changed them? or did it all work fine, you just wanted better sound? because it sounds like maybe your amp was shot before and you changed the speakers thinking thats what the problem was.

It sound ok just had static in the background so I just changed to some better speakers and now it messed up.

static would be caused by a failing amp, not bad speakers, the increased needed power for your new speakers probably finished off your amp thats why its messed up now. i'd replace the amp now too and your problem will most likely be solved.

Replace with a new JBL or a used one? Cost?

I'd either replace the amp with a used one or start from scratch like most the people on here ended up doing... it's pretty easy to put a new system in these cars... but I have my old amp... seamed to work when I pulled it... the deck itself broke... if you want it just PM me and we could probably figure something out
