Someone hit my mirror off!!

Well more bad luck with the LS, so Sunday morning I come out to my car (live with my girlfriend in a real nice area) and someone hit my mirror off. Well I'm not sure if they hit it off with a car or some punk kids (or my crazy ex girlfriend snapped it off , there are no markings on it from a car. Its just hanging there by the wires. I'm wondering if I need to replace the mirror of if someone has had this happen and found a way to reattach it. The mirror is in perfect shape (in fact its brand new) so it would suck to have to buy a new one. The plastic is snapped inside along with the screws. Any info would be great. I know this means folding mirrors if I do need new ones.

Man, if you didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all! I don't recall if Ford sells just the mirror itself. However, getting a replacement unit shouldn't be a problem.

I have had this happen (my brother kicked it off), and reattached it with plastic epoxy. Just make sure it'll sit properly BEFORE you try to glue it.

Yeah my luck has run dry. I think im due for some good luck soon. My car right now has a messed up passenger fender from carx and now this. Its a never ending saga with this car.

Carx didnt torque my lugs, and my passanger side wheel fell off when my bro was driving. Carx said it was my fault and refuses to pay for it. So i decided not to hastle with them and just pay it.

You may want to go with the folding mirrors. When mine got the snap-n-run treatment, I went ahead and replaced them with the folding ones so I wouldn't have to worry about again. I don't think I've ever had a car that didn't eventually get the mirror snapped off.

Would this mirror work? Would I just unscrw the one that is on there and plug in this one and be good to go. Besides the fact that I would need to have it painted to match my car.

They should depending on the year you have. I think I got a complete set from car-part.com for less than that and the dealership only charged me $30.00 to paint match them to my car.
