some what new here and have a few questions

I signed up here some time last year but never got around to post here either.

I have a '02 ls with the v6 sport package and loved the car. Its also my daily driver but have a few plans to mod her (mainly cosmetic). As for my toys I have a '97 Cobra and a 96 CBR 600.

I was wondering if the '03-06 headlamps would fit on the 1st gen and also if the taillights would line up as well with the newer trunk lid as well.

Try the search tool near the top of the page, there are a few threads on this. If you want 2nd gen lights in a 1st gen you have to buy a 2nd gen front fascia too or there will be a gap under and around the lights.

As for the tails I'm not sure what all has to be done you'd have to search and see other peoples projects and how they are doing things.

I think the taillamps would line up because people have done the conversion and IIRK they didnt change the quarter panel at all.

For swaping gen II headlight you need the header panel and rewire your headlight connection, for the tail light it less easy you will need gen II trunk rear genII bumper and genII rear plate suround.

I didn't know that where the bumper meets the trunk was different. Hmmm...

the rear plate surround is larger on a gen I then a gen II and doesn't fit on genI bumper

Wow I knew the trunk had to be changed but didn't know about the bumper & surround...didn't know they where that different.
