ok so I plan on putting an lse front bumper on my 2000 ls.

I was wondering what I all have to change on my front end for this bumper to fit good.

I know I gotta get newer model headlights and fog lights. But im not sure if I have to change the header panel to the newer model for the new headlights to mount?? And do I have to upgrade to new wiring?

And if there is anything else I should kno of before doing this please let me kno

You can use the Gen 1 headlights with a Gen 2 LSE bumper. There will be a slight gap though.

if you want a perfect fit, then yes you need the second gen headlights, and i'm pretty sure for those to fit you need a new header panel

It's really not that big of a gap. IMO its not a big deal. When I do mine, I am leaving it.. In my mind, why spend around 600 for used parts to make up for a .5-2 inch gap..

oh yea no doubt about it. i just wanna make sure it wont be a tough fit or ill just keep the older headlights with the gap

Gen 2 headlights, gen 2 header panel, and the LSE bumper is what you need for a gap free fitment.

I'm in the process of doing this now. Just got the remaining parts in last week. As mentioned above, you do need a new header panel for the second gen headlights. The cheapest place to get the header panel is rockauto.com. My additional parts such as fog light brackets etc were bought from Tascaparts.com since they were cheaper than other places.

And yes, if you're installing Gen 2 headlights, you need to adapt them to the Gen 1 wiring harnesses somehow - the plugs are different....

Yes - the fog light bulbs are a different part number and use a different plug. 9145 vs. H11 if I remember correctly...

I have all the part numbers to every part that you will need. I haven't thrown the boxes away. I ordered everything from Tascafordparts.com except for the fog lights which I bought last year from another site. They were a few dollars cheaper than any other place including TeamFord. The bumper I bought off of ebay back in November. The best place to get an 03 and up header panel is Rockauto. AS for the fog lights, I think they may have changed the type of bulb that they are using now. My 06 fogs came with H8 bulbs so I bought some Luminics Titanium White H8 bulbs that came with harnesses to fit. Acutally you can buy everything from Taca Ford for $586.31 and that includes shipping.
