Some new wheels for the CL

Did you jack the wheel into the wheel well at all?

Looks like it would have some poke but you cant tell till its lifted into the wheel well.

No but the offset is good, I just wanted to see hows the rear clearance and the center hub. They are perfect. These wheels are actually made for this model.

Well thats cool and good to know. On your behalf anyway, I mean its good for you to know. I'l never afford one so it dont do me any good:D

I thought it was just cause it wasnt jacked up to ride height.

i just lowered the front 1", wow took me 15 minutes and $2. This adjustable suspention is great. Now gotta find something that I need for the rears to drop an inch.

Yeah if you can manage to trick the height sensors the car will drop as far as you want it. The real trick is to get the suspension into the test mode where it oscillates each shock to full extension and then back to full compression in rotation. The whole car wobbles like those crappy UFOs they use in old science fiction movies. Talk about hydros!

Umm what are you guys talking about? Im clueless with this. You mean it has like an electronic ride height adjustment type deal?

It's pneumatic. Air shocks baby! Those things are awesome until you have to replace one... Then you pray that your warranty coverage isn't up. :shifty:

Oh ok.

I thought it had something like a set of ground controls or Teins with the electronic adjuster thingy

The porsche SUV has an adjustable ride height. You just use a dial on the dash.

My mom had these cheap chrome Prime wheels on a Sundance:lol: . She didnt care she got the car dirt cheap but they made a funny swooshing noise.

They looked like the Mark wheels that are similar to his.

Actually the CLs and the S55/S600/S65 have a hydraulic suspention, where the S430/S500 have air shocks. But they both work the same way sensor wise.

So on the front I changed the links to longer and on the rear I made them shorter.

Here is the "how to"

I think my drop in the rear came to 1.5" and that's a bit too much, I'm gonna jack it back up .5". Took me couple of hours including going to the hardware store and cleaning the brakes ha.

Here are some dirty pictures.

Well either way, for your wallets sake, you should hope and pray none of them ever go bad.

Car looks good lowered. But you got that mexican low rider look goin' on with the rear end lower than the front. :p

haha, yea I am gonna bump up the back a bit, too low. Got tired today of taking the wheels off, I'll do it in the morning.

IMO would have been real nice if you could have got the front that low with no issues.

Looks good!

Lookin good man. You need that thing detailed, let me know if you need somebody I have a lot of hook ups. (I'm not Pedro's cousin) I'll get you the top notch.

You got skillz? it has been raining last 3 weeks, I got car wash on saturday and the next day rain again. The car is clean inside, I just need to wash outside. Will do soon. I cleaned the wheels already.

It does have 3 height adjustments stock, but the lowest one is not really that low. I think I got it right this time.

ok you convinced me, my paint does need that treatment. Hook a brotha up. Who is here in Orange county/Los angeles area that is willing to clean my CL like that?

Give me numbers.

FMINUS does great work. If you're interested we can talk to him and see if we can get you hooked up.
