I sensor lowered my car last night and i got the rear was sitting. 2 fingers in between tire and fender when parked. I didn't tighten the two bolts all the way cause I figured I was gonna be adjusting it again anyway, but they were still pretty tight. It was good for a day and by the time I came home and parked the car, all of a sudden you can fit like 6 fingers in there. Is it because I didn't tighten it completely? Did the bracket fall down on the drive home this evening? I didn't think it would get loose, its not like the car is riding on it. Is there another reason? Its too dark to jack the car up right now.

By the way, while on this topic, how is your car adjusted front and rear? Did you drill the front brackets? Did you remove the bolt on the rear to compress the sensor even more? I used the factory adjustment on the front (no holes) and slid the rear bracket all the way "up" while keeping the 2 bolts. Before the mess-up I can fit 3 fingers in the front and 2 fingers in the rear, which is perfect for me. Don't wanna go too low.

the car doesnt ride on it you are correct, but, the sensor rides on the car, and its hooked to the lower control arm, so if you left the bolts loose, what probably happened was your suspension went far enough away from the car on your ride home that it pulled the height sensor upper mount down causing the car to raise up again, get back under the car and adjust it again and tighten it.

you're right jamie, the sensor bracket was too loose. The bracket was pushed all the way up from driving around all day. Put it back down, tightened the bolts real good, and all is OK.
