Hey guys. SO this week was really bad for me and my car. Starting with all my tie rods and rear adjustable links are bad, the light light is on in the dash, my car feels like it's going to stolle when the rpm pass through 1000 on there way down, and wired winding noise from the trans area, either clutch or the main berring. And all this just adding up to the stupid ticket i have to pay and all my finals for school

Whats the trans noise like?

Does it start after it warms up and only when not in park and on the accelerator?

Is it like similar to the sound of when a PS pump starts to go or runs low on fluids?

Look on the bright side. Once you finish your finals and get all of those things fixed with the car everything will be perfect! Surely nothing else will go wrong.

:D

sorry for your luck.

look on the bright side, atleast it still runs. The worst thing that can happen is if you blow the engine or trans.

haha, thanks for the support guys, trany noise happens while acceleration, or when you let go the cluch in gear in order to slows the car donw a bit.

So you have a V6 Manual then?

I have the same problem I think. Mine is a V8 tho so its auto. Its a funny sound like a weird humming sound as I said kind of like a bad steering pump.

Have you ever changed the fluid in the gearbox? It smooths out the tranny and makes shifting easier. I do mine about every 10,000 miles. Only takes a couple of quarts of synthetic ATF. Might help the noise.

I'm changing my driveshaft support bearing this weekend on my manual-equipped LS. Perhaps that should be going on yours as well. If you go under the car and push up on the driveshaft as it disappears over the exhaust heat shield, it should be solid and unable to move. If it wiggles, that bearing could be bad. It could also be the tailshaft bearing of the transmission going bad. Could you post a sound clip from the noise?

So I got it figure out, It was pinion bearings so I rebuild the rear using posi lock from 8.8 and all new bearings, I also used my original gears just like I suppose to. Finally finished it up yesterday just waiting for the front control arm to come in so I can go get alignment. my rear steering links were bad also so I replaced them as well.
Thank you for your help guys!
