I have a 98 LSC that for some reason starting smoking when I cranked it today, It has never done this before. I know the valve stem seals might be questionable with 105000 miles but it happened all at once. Also, it appears to have a skip when started but clears up after a minute. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not at all. When was the vehicle last tuned-up? (Plugs, boots, oil changed, etc.)

Not at all. When was the vehicle last tuned-up? (Plugs, boots, oil changed, etc.)

They were changed about 2000 miles ago. The skip doesn't bother me as much as how it filled my garage with smoke when cranked.
