a guy pulled up next to me in peoria il today and i couldnt resist. I gave him the "you wanna run em" head nod and he nodded back, so it was on. Had him by at least one and a half cars before 3rd gear. whats wrong with those cars??? Or should i just love my lse even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
 
You should first understand when people are racing and when they are not.
 
At a track rental we had earlier this year a couple of guys took a stock rental Hemi charger, pulled the exhaust off and a bunch of other stuff out and got it to run a 13.9!
 
There are 4 engine sizes in the Chargers.

You probably raced a 2.7L or 3.5L.
 
On my way out tonight I saw a black Challenger SRT-8, absolutely GORGEOUS.

YES!! I seen one in person at the P. Burg mall. I hate what they did with the Charger but the Challengers do look like the old classic with more curvy edges!
 
I was just walking down Broad Street with my friends having a pretty good conversation, I hear exhaust and off goes my attention as I watch it drive away. Black, tinted windows, nice wheels... thing was amazing looking. At first I thought they were a little bulky but man did they get the design right.
 
well I drag raced a 07 daytona hemi 2 weeks ago and beat him. But he red lighted, forgot to turn trac conrol of and had to punch it again. did quite well with a .011 Reac time. and a 15.424 @ 90.97 MPH. He ran a 15.8ish at 92. I said that he should have smoked me but he just said

"dont be too sure. Im quite impressed of that little thing (little compared to his amor cladded tank, sure) Ya, i would have beat you but only by a few tenths. that thing suprised me!"

maybe the guy forgot his trac control?

I've ran against them at the track and won several times. They typically run mid 14s stock or near stock. I've seen a Magnum run 15.0s and 14.9s all day, not sure what that was about.


Stock for stock they will win for sure but I think a Gen2 LS wouldn't get killed.


The 6.1HEMIs will walk away from you with ease.
 
i agree
im running mid 14 consistantly with tips. sst shift 4th just before the quarter. but these are no slouch. the 6.1 is insane. i wouldnt even want to it would be worthless.
 
On my way to work I ran into the same 300C Hemi 3 times and all 3 times I handed him his ass. The second time he saw me he was trying so hard, I could just see his aggrivation that this slow LS was whooping him.
 
Hemi was on the fender!.. wasnt the hemi a 5.7?? the srt version was a 6.1 i think. anyhow i whooped him. driver error or whatever i dont care. I win :cool:
 
o yeah im gonna race my buddy tonight for a 100 he has a charger with 24 inch rims ha ha easy 100
