Small paint repair question

I have many small pinhead and larger scracthes that I would like to try and repair myself. Could anybody describe their procedure and mat. they use.
Thank you for any advise in this matter. These are all on main part of the car. (metal)

what i use

minor scratches can be taken care of with 3m swirl mark remover. Just rub it on and rub it off, the scratch looks gone. Also a small touchup paint tube from the dealer with matching color, go to the artist store to pickup a fine tipped paint brush, don't use the one that comes in the tube.
