Have a 2001 Lincoln Ls v8 and took it 2 dealership bcause when in park in runs a rough, make like a skipping sound but when you drive it, it runs like new just when in park and sitting still it makes this sound like it needs a tune up or bad coil.the dealership said that my timing chain was broke and passenger side cylinders was misfiring. ok took it to a mechanic and he said that my timing chain was slack due to tensioner being broke. so, he replaced tensioner and the car is still running the same. so took it 2 a different mechanic and the cylinders was still misfiring, so he replaced all 8 coils and the car runs and sounds better but it still have a slight rough sound.ok drove the car home and it ran smoothly at high speeds and low. parked it and the car runs hot due to the fan not coming on. took it to a different mechanic and he said he dont know what the problem is. was told that it might be timing is off due to the timing chain being slack and the tensioner replaced, might b valve cover gasket. burnt valve or internal engine problems. car runs great when driving just when it sit still and in park then it makes the sound. need 2 know what to do have spent over 1000 dollars and im stuck.Help!!!!!!!!!
