I called on it, guy says the factory controls for the heated seats are mounted under the seats, and the factory stereo controls on the back of the steering wheel do work...lol!

Wow, talk about a special edition. Unless it has some kind of aftermarket heated seats? The Chevy dealership I worked at in MA, we had one regular customer who we sold a 2010 Equinox, and she went and had aftermarket heated seats put in it.
