Still an issue from before. I really cant figure this one out.

At idle in drive or park it may just die. Then again it may drive for an hour just fine. When at higher RPM it may cut out for a sec.

Appears to act like a bad ground/power issue. Checked all connections several times, looks good. Alt putting out just over 14 volts. Battery reads just over 13 when car off. Wont rule out bad connection, but can not find any.

Heat seems to be an issue. When warmed up and stalls it may not start until its cooled down. Maybe an hour or more. When I have been able to drive it without an issue, its been at night and cooler out. Could be coincidence.

List of what it could be:

Bad ground/connection (pretty much ruled out)
Sensor (replaced crank, cam, TPS, MAF, IAC from spares I have)
Wiring harness (all look good to me)
Ignition switch (whatever park slides out, is new. Could be internal wiring?)
Flaky alternator
VRCM (I have a gut feeling this is issue since I seem to have lost high speed fuel pump)
ECU (could be it since I originally wired COPs wrong)

Think of anything else? Really just eyeing up a Gen II right now. Think it may be easier then swap heads and intake!

I had a smiler problem with my town car. I thought it was a fuel problem
not pump but wires or relay. Turned out the be the EEC relay was going bad
and wouldn't let the fuel pump turn on when the car was hot.
hope this helps you think and maybe find the problem

No codes at all. Only time I got a code was for air charge temp and that was long ago.

I thought ECU too. But its not a major indicator just yet. Since it *seems* to be heat related, I think its something external to the car.

Wish I had a spare ECU and VRCM. But on a 96 these are not thing$ one keeps spares of. But I do have an SCT 4 program chip for swap!

Clue thar led me to eec/ecu relay was when the car wouldn't start I couldn't check codes when it would run I could check codes

Hate to say this but its a 96....and it has rust issues.

Get a gen II, do the swap.
