Shocks

I had a 03 Cobra and we put Steeda sport springs and shocks on it They were better. We then put the Cobra's Bilstiens in the rear of Mark VIII I had at that time. Gone now. But yes they worked great but you can't put Cobra struts in place of Mark VIII shock on the front ???

Nope. Unless you want to cut an weld on the shock housing. The Fox body struts are not serviceable as far as I know. They're not like regular struts that have the coil spring integrated. They're "modified" McPherson struts. The coil spring is separate. But since the Mark doesn't have a strut suspension, it would be a major undertaking involving cutting and welding to make a Fox chassis strut work in the Mark VIII's front end since the Fox strut mounts directly to the spindle.

Right, so I would still like to know what are the best high performance shocks that you can get new now for the front of a Mark VIII ??

The top link Bilstiens are not available for a T-Bird. Those Tokico adjustable would be a good choice it you can adjust them manually installed. Anybody know ??

Tokico Illumina is what I have on all four corners, they are fantastic. Half a turn is all it takes, 2 settings; soft or firm.

Well darn on the Bilstiens. It came up when I searched. And manual shmanual:D Just get a set of T-Bird SC solenoids and wire them up to a rocker switch on the dash! Why worry about stopping the car, getting out, opening the hood, opening the trunk, pulling that carpet out of the way, and leaning, bending and twisting to get to the adjuster knobs when you can just reach out and flick a switch? That's how I did it when I put the T-Bird Turbo Coupe shocks and struts on my '87 Mustang. Worked great.

Are you on air or coils? Must be coils. I would love to have a set of those (installed in my air spring housinngs of course:D). That would be sweet.
