How long do shocks last on these cars, i put a new set on 3-4 years ago, noticed the bushings were going bad, wondered if it would be a good time to replace the shocks too???

not sure ...but the monroe sensatracks(the 13 dollor ones) are crap..obviously, and mine only have maybe 5-6k on em'.. Not sure if its cuase mine has the lowered kit on it or not but if i hit a dip the rear end will bounce repeatadly..not the normal bouncing..

I have Monroe, not sensa track, not sure what kind, but I did the ol' bounce the rear end check and it felt like it was air ride was just holding it up, real mushy

I'm looking at the Koni website, dose $300 for the pair sound like a good price, for 2000 Cobra shocks

If you buy a pair of Koni's, get them for a Thunderbird.

TireRack has them on sale from time to time, it's where I got mine.

that is an ok price for high end shocks i think i saw thunderbird koni shocks for a thunderbird on summit racing for like 140 each they are supposed to be fully adjustable.

Most shock and struts should be replaced every 50k miles, that's when Monroe suggests that theirs be replaced.

I have the Tokico Blues for a Thunderbird and they are holding great, but I've only put about 10k on them, I highly recommend them for any Mark8 that's been lowered

I was told that monroe shocks don't work right on a lowered car, front or rear. That is what I got for my home built(tbird parts) lowering kit. I found some nice KYBs for 150 for all four.

how much do they usually go for and where to get them

Dang I wondered why my rear has been jouncing so much lately - I've got sensatracks too, and I've had them for a few years. Time to replace!

if you are looking for a stiff ride I have one set of cobra r shocks left (ford racing bilsteins) for 100.00 + shipping
max
