My ‘98 Mark VIII has 106,000 miles on it, and still has the air ride suspension. I want to keep it stock and have no interest in converting. While driving the car down the road I’m hearing a popping when there are bumps on an otherwise smooth road service. Does this sound like new struts are needed ?

Hello
front wheels and rear. The tires are next to new Michelins. Other than the popping noise when there is a bump the car glides down the road.

Your front upper A arms are shot. EVERYONE gets to replace them on these cars. Go to Rockauto and get the ones with grease fittings. Most dont have that. The rear control arms are not as prone to blowing out like the front ones but getting the car off the ground and wiggle the arms around to see if there is play in the joints. Its not a real big job to replace the A Arms.
