Has anyone done this? Would it even be beneficial to our cars? Clearance problems?

The rear is not a problem to do with basic welding skills and equipment.

The front is generally not attempted because of the nature of the engine bay with that big DOHC engine. However, super coupe performance makes braces that go on the underside of the car; under the engine. I have never had any clearance problems with the lower engine cradle brace I have...

I'v seen these and herd good things about them. How do you like yours? I would guess they do the same thing as a shock tower brace?

i have them also, my car is the tightest out of all my 9 mark VIII's so it obviously works under there!!

I would describe the front end as "firmly planted" with these braces. It has been a long time since I drove a mark without those braces though. It is hard for me to describe the difference. It was a noticeable improvement.
