so does anyone know what the difference is between the following shock P/N's? 6w4z's cheaper.

Front:
3w4z-18124-DA
5w4z-18124-DA
6w4z-18124-D
Or rear:
3w4z-18125-BA
5w4z-18125-BA
6w4z-18125-B

What do you think the prefix codes to the base numbering is ?

the prefix usually reffers to the base year the part was inroduced, it doesn't address interchangability. Guess i'll have to spend some time at the parts counter.

So through various searches found nothing on diffrences between years. Finally found the new motorcraft fron shocks for 06, no help on 03 through 06 numbers. Local ford dealer searched dealer data base and none found. Any recommendation between monroe or sachs for rears shocks?

OBTW will have a set of Eibach ProKit springs for sale soon. Very low mileage.

All shocks fit all years. I believe I posted numbers here somewhere. IIRC, the latest shocks are green and purple; I don't remember which are front and rear.

I believe you had purple labels on your shocks when I saw you last? The loose shocks I had had a green label. What is the difference? Normal and 'Special'?

I have found the ASH- 24468 rear sport shocks, but have not found what the difference is between the various years. I have an 03. Will probably end up with 24468's if I can't find year specific motorcrafts.
