So when I bought the car it rode smooth as silk. i had 16's on at the time. I then went to 17's with crappy tires. the shimmy started. i thought it was just the tires so i got them rebalanced and got the car realigned. it was still there. now i have 18's on with eagle F1 gsd3's like one of the best tires out there and still the shimmy. I took it to the shop to get it checked again. they couldnt find anything wrong. the front tie rods and rotors are new as well. it almost feels like something is bent. when I come to a stop, it feels like there is a wheel that is out of round. I might have bent something. idk what to think. anyone have this issue before?

yep almost always a bent wheel,, nothing to do but find the perfect speed where it does not shake as much, or when they are balanced ask them to mark the bent or bent ones and replace... ive also heard a worn hub can cause the shimmy,, but prob you r wheel. i have a set of 18s that are perfet and i love them. i hav4e 20's on now and i have a slight shimmy at about 65, luckily i drive 90 everywhere i go

Same on mine, noticeable starting around 65mph, shakes like a mother at 95mph.
Cause = bent front passenger wheel (and to a lesser extent wheels that weren't well balanced).
Fix (pending) = new Konig Incidents :D

and to a lesser extent wheels that weren't well balanced

I had to change tire service centers because where I used to have mine balanced they told me that the machine is set to balance at 60mph and my shimmy started around 75 - 80. Once I found a performance specialty shop that would or could balance at higher speeds the shimmy went away.

Good to know, thanks!
